GISC – GEMS International School of Cairo

Following GEMS international guidelines, our firm was asked to develop the interior design concept for their new school located in Al-Rehab in New Cairo. The design had to be unique as it was their first ground-up school in Egypt, yet follow their brand identity and image. We adopted a slick, futuristic modern approach to reflect their educational philosophy of incorporating technology in education. We added a colourful palette derived from the logo to differentiate each educational level while keeping a base palette to tie all the common spaces together. Furniture was designed in a sense that it provides flexible seating and clustering to fulfil the modern teaching techniques.
