Position: Senior Architect

We are looking for a motivated Senior architect with 10+ years of experience to work with & lead the architecture team to help progress and manage the architectural requirements to develop design solutions and provide project coordination for all project phases, from concept to construction. Your work ethic and dedication to problem solving, combined with our commitment to collaboration and mentoring is a core part of your role. We are looking for a strong all-round architect, who has significant creative and technical experience. An architecture degree is required, along with the following key skills:

• a strong creative eye with the ability to work on different project scales.
• experience in leading different phases of project work including preparation of conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction document packages.
• strong communication and co-ordination skills with the team, clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, create time schedules, and manage to meet their deadlines.
• good project and team management skills and experience.
• ability to juggle two-three simultaneous projects at different phases of development.
• an engaging team player with great interpersonal communication skills
• proficiency using AutoCAD (2D) and preferably Sketch-up.
• solid modelling and visualization skills are essential (using 3dsMax and the V-Ray platform.)
• a high standard of graphic presentation and layout design skills using     Adobe Photoshop
• solid visual and spoken presentation skills
• confident on site when site visits are required.
• In-depth knowledge of different building and finishing materials and good knowledge of technical drawing and detailing.
• knowledge of Egyptian building regulations is preferred

Tasks & Responsibilities will include:

• Leading & assisting Mid-Level & Junior architects to run all architectural and landscape projects. This includes all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, detailed design documents and site inspections.
• Assisting in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant co-ordination.
• As your responsibilities grow, you may be asked to assist in managerial tasks.
• Depending on the project at hand, it may be required to work early on with an interior designer from the team to reach an integrated design (especially in the early architectural design stages.)
• Resolving complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions.
• Contributing to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.
• Project management, including leading the work of other team members, providing mentoring and guidance to juniors.
• Attending project meetings when needed, while taking notes and creating meeting minutes.
• Attending occasional site visits and ability to confidently meet with clients.

• Co-ordinating with consulting engineers, and/or contractors on all matters necessary for the implementation of the work program of the project.
• Co-ordination of the work with other disciplines involved in the project, while organizing and managing squad checks.
